We invite you this Saturday afternoon to join our unique workshop and create your very own beautiful petrykivka masterpiece!
Decorative petrykivka artwork is a joy to look at and have in your home! You will learn how to create your own petrykivka masterpiece under the guidance of master artist Svitlana Denisova. Petrykivka decorative painting, as described on the UNESCO List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, is an ornamental folk art rich in symbolism.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- lots of fun learning a unique, traditional Ukrainian painting technique while getting to know another culture;
- shared laughter with both old and new friends;
- some light refreshments and yummy pastries
No experience is necessary, as you will be provided with all the tools and materials you’ll need.
LOCATION:
The workshop will be held at the Yaletown Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre in meeting room C. The address is 181 Roundhouse Mew, Vancouver.

- The workshop is designed for all skill levels and everyone is welcome to join!
